Siri Doesn’t Do Channel Changing

As long as the batteries don’t die before I move, I’ll never have to bother finding my remote again.

It’s gotta be somewhere around here, that’s all I know. It must be. I mean, the RCA Voice-Controlled 6 Device Universal Remote is still following all of the voice commands, macros, and user preferences I set up using the HELP system, so it must at least have a clear shot of my TV, satellite box, DVD player and other devices. I just wish I could remember where the stupid thing is.

I’ve checked everywhere, too! Under the couch, in the couch, all of the end tables, the fireplace, the bookshelves… You name it, I’ve torn it apart trying to find that attractive high-gloss black finish and backlit keypad with no luck whatsoever. And I know it’s right around here because that’s where it seems to hear me tell it to change channels, increase or lower the volume, and control my DVD player the best. It’s probably in the same place as a few dozen cat toys and socks ran off to, I swear.

And, you know, it shouldn’t even be a thing, really. Calling out commands and having my entertainment center come alive just with the sound of my voice should be awesome! I wouldn’t even care so much if it didn’t look like I was yelling at the urn full of my grandmother’s ashes to make it work. Ugh, it’s just so frustrating, you know?
