Vids Or It Didn’t Happen
Start recording before I start my ride? Lug along a laptop just to watch my footage? NEVER AGAIN.
Today I say “Stop the madness.” Today I say “No more.” Today I say “With the Swann Freestyle HD’s included remote and LCD screen, I bid farewell to two of the most annoying parts of taking action videos.” And now I’m going to shut up and let my action videos do the talking.
Just clip the remote to your shirt, or keep it in your pocket, or mount it on your bike or something, and you’ll never have to keep the camera rolling during setup time again. And leave the laptop at home: the included LCD screen lets you play back your videos on the spot, instead of having to connect the camera to a computer.
Such simple, obvious features for an action cam. So why have we been living any other way?
Of course, none of this would matter if the Swann Freestyle HD’s optics sucked. Since it comes from one of the most respected names in video security systems, they don’t. We could sit here all day blathering about the 1920×1080 video at 30fps, or the 720p video at 60 fps. But what would the point be, when you can just see for yourself with these actual action videos – or in our own less extreme one below?
There was a time when it was thrilling enough to just shoot a curl, or smith grind a rail, or pop a wheelie (that’s still a thing, right?). Now, unless you can share first-person POV video of your triumphs, all they are is dust in the wind. You do the hard parts and the Swann Freestyle HD will handle the publicity.
