HEXBUG nano Habitat & Bugs Bundle

Michelle was standing at the sink doing dishes when, out of the corner of her eye, she saw something small skitter across the floor. When she turned to look, it was gone. So she just shrugged her shoulders and went back to squeegeeing out a glass.

Not two minutes later, she had a creepy crawly sensation on her bare foot. She looked down and saw what looked like some sort of strange bug. She instinctively kicked it away, and shuddered as her entire body instantaneously broke out with goose bumps. She watched as the bug righted itself from its back and skittered away behind the trash can.

Michelle started screaming. “TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIM! OHMYGODWHATISIT??? TIM GET IN HERE RIGHT NOW!”

Tim ran in to find his wife standing on top of the kitchen table, pointing at the trash can and squealing. “Michelle! You scared the hell out of me! I thought maybe you were being attacked. What is going on?”

Nearly breathless from sheer panic, Michelle managed to eek out the  words “BUG” and “THERE.”

Tim moved the trash can aside and the bug came skittering out from behind it. When Michelle saw it, she started squealing and dancing around on top of the table.

Tim bent forward to inspect the bug closer, paused for a moment, and started cracking up. He picked up the bug with his bare hands and started at Michelle with it. “Is THIS what you’re so worked up about?” He set it on the table and it made a beeline in her direction.

She flailed and kicked at it and screamed, “Get it away! Get it away from me!” And just at that moment, she heard two tiny little giggles coming from under the table. She looked down to find Jake and Ella hiding with their Hexbug Nano Habitat and Bugs Bundle. There was another little critter navigating the four habitat cells they had put together.

Tim handed the rogue Hexbug to the kids and admonished them in a mock authoritative tone. “Now kids, it wasn’t very nice to play a trick like that on Mommy. You know Mommy is like, super mega duper afraid of bugs.”

Michelle got down off the table and straightened her shirt, trying to muster what little dignity she had remaining. “Psssh. I’m not afraid. I was just … playing along,” she said very unconvincingly before walking out of the kitchen.

As she turned the corner and continued down the hall, she heard all three of them break out into uncontrollable fits of laughter.
