Saturday, August 4, 2012
The economic downturn has affected folks of all walks of life. Nobody has remained totally immune the worst economic conditions since the Great Depression, and many who once considered themselves “middle class” now find themselves scrounging for insect larvae and edible roots in their local wetlands.
We’ve all been there, but that doesn’t mean you should stoop to cooking your daily harvest in some cut-rate saute pan. Get the Nordic Ware 12″ Saute Pan and hold your mud-smeared head high.
It’s just not feasible anymore for every family to afford “flour” and “milk” and other former kitchen staples. We all have to scrimp and save, and sometimes the monthly food budget is the first thing to get axed. Grubs, frogs, and fibrous tap roots are a great way to fill in the gaps on the cheap. Just slice ’em up, throw them in your non-stick coated aluminum pan with a little bit of disposed diner fryer oil, and you’ve got yourself a blue-ribbon-worthy meal!
This pan will pay for itself after only a few dozen swamp-meals. And nobody will think, “It’s just so sad what happened to that family” after seeing the pan’s colorful silicone handle. A word to the wise: make sure you cook leeches thoroughly or they’ll adhere to your esophagus. Happy cooking!
