I know what you’re thinking, “Not one more self-help guru peddling his complicated system for attaining the life you’ve always imagined.” But hold on — my advice is so easy you’ll kick yourself for not thinking of it first: WHEN FACED WITH A CHOICE, MAKE THE CORRECT ONE.

Take batteries. You can choose to buy disposable batteries or rechargeable ones. What should you do? Well, rechargeables like these Duracell AAA NiMH batteries can be used hundreds of times, hold a charge for over a year, and only cost a little bit more than disposable batteries. So you can either spend more money on wasteful disposable batteries, or less money on rechargables.

And that’s where my system comes into play. Just make the “right” choice; in this case, rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries are better, so buy them. In other words, buy the better batteries. That way you will be doing the correct thing, which will make your life better.

I know, I know — why did you never think of this yourself? And it’s applicable to almost any situation. Trying to decide whether to drive or walk to the park? Walk! It’s the better choice. Trying to decide whether to eat white chocolate or milk chocolate? Eat milk chocolate! It’s the better choice.
