Oh shoot, we were supposed to do a write-up for this NeatReceipts Mobile Scanner, weren’t we? Man, time really flew by and now it’s time to clock out. Better think of something quick. You see, we got caught up playing this absurdly addicting (if seizure-inducing) flash game called Hexagon, and sort of forgot to do our jobs.

So it looks like this scanner is less than one pound, which should make it very mobile and versatile when you’re avoiding contracting geometric figures. You can quickly search for keywords in your documents (presumably by frantically hitting the left and right arrow keys). Plus it extracts important information from your receipts and documents, giving you more time to, you know, play Hexagon.

It’s got tons more features that probably would have seemed really appealing back in the days when non-Hexagon-related-matters seemed important. You can scan and export directly to PDF, Excel, or Quicken, which (as we recall) are “computer programs” or something. On the plus side, it’s compatible with both Mac and Windows, but unfortunately it doesn’t do anything to help you get through those contracting spiral things.
