Honor tried to be as polite as she could to her roommate. Maybe it wasn’t her fault she couldn’t understand. Maybe she just was exhausted and needed more sleep.

“No, it’s easy, see? These Joseph Joseph Indexed Cutting Boards are made specifically to avoid cross-contamination.”

Honor’s Roommate crossed her arms. “I get it, but what’s that white one all about?”

Honor continued. “You see, this way we only use the cutting board we need and we don’t have to worry about getting any fish germs on our carrots, for example.”

“I get it, Honor. What’s the white one for?”

“So we still have to wash them, of course, but we put them right back when we’re done, and we know next time we’re cutting the right food on the right board. See? The green one has a little carrot, that means veggies, and the blue one has a tiny fish, that’s for fish, and the red one-“

“-has a steak, yes, I get all this, Honor. But really, what’s the white one for?”

“The white one?” Honor looked down at the stylish logo on the index-style tab, and nervously cleared her throat.

“Why… everyone knows that one… is… forrr… jellyfish!”

And then, proudly, Honor put the Joseph Joseph Index Cutting Boards back into the little cabinet and left the room as quickly as she could.
