Man, technology can do amazing things, can’t it? Take this TomTom XL340S LIVE GPS unit. Right now a satellite, a giant bundle of metal and wires and plastic that we shot into space, is circling the globe and beaming positional data to everyone with a connected device! Isn’t that nuts? Think of how hard it must be to figure out the logistics of an operation like that?
Or just ask Apple.
For the three of you who didn’t hear, Apple and Google are in a ridiculous patent slap fight which led to the Google Maps app being removed from the latest incarnation of the iPhone and the new iOS. Luckily for no one, it was replaced with Apple’s own stab at a map app, which is roundly considered to be the worst thing since Tetanus.
But lucky for you we’re offering a solution! You’re only using that map app illegally when you’re in the car, right? So why not just have a GPS in your car? Yes, multi-use tools are all the rage but a phone with a GPS app that doesn’t actually work isn’t really adding any functionality, is it?
And here’s the best part: guess who provides their search data. Just guess. Did you guess Google? Congratulations! You’re lucky enough to avoid driving into a lake due to faulty GPS directions!
