That Jana Old Vine Zin sure is a saucy little minx, no? I mean … KAPOW! There it is.

Yeah. Not really my thing.

What? You’re crazy!

Just too fruit forward for me. I like my wine to play a little coy.

Well it’s right up my alley! OH EH! Fresh black cherry, currants and mint layered with FRENCH Oak. Did you hear what I said? FRENCH. You know what they say about those French types, right?

You are incorrigible.

Hey, I’m just sayin’. The small crop was ripe for the pickin’ that year! We’re talkin’ FULL Zinfandel maturity.

You know, there are laws against that sort of thing.

Right there with ya, my friend. That’s why I made sure it had been aged for a full 18 months first. And man oh man, was it worth the wait. You wouldn’t believe the well-rounded tannins…

From the D’Anneo Vineyard in Calistoga. 50% of this vineyard is 83 years old while the other 50% is 8 years old. Dry land farmed to produce small yields of flavorful Zinfandel.
