With Paper out of the picture, Scissors’s relationship with Rock has changed, and maybe not for the better. It can be like that with groups of friends sometimes. You can’t always tell who the linchpin is — who’s the guy who holds the group together and eases tensions between everybody else. Not to have Paper around, that’s been hard on Scissors. In fact, he’s been crushed.
