Apparently, Raoul didn’t get Lesley’s oniony tear-inducing message, because at precisely 3:30 that morning, she was awoken once again by the incessant whir of his coffee grinder.

So she decided there and then that the only logical recourse was to break into his apartment and smash the grinder to bits.

She had made it in through the fire escape window and was sneaking down the hallway to the kitchen when she was stopped dead in her tracks in front of the bathroom.

Raoul was there, standing in front of the mirror, flat-ironing his luxurious, black mane. Lesley was mesmerized as the vibrant pink plates of the limited edition Gold Series Professional 1″ styler glided effortlessly over his silky locks.

When he had finished, he walked out the door completely casually, as if he had known Lesley had been there the whole time.

“Oh. Hello, Lesley,” he said with a final flip of his hair as he walked past her.

She didn’t speak so much as she uttered some indecipherable noise that sounded like, “Unggggg.”
