Yes, these Shun Classic knives have razor sharp blades offering top performance. No, that does not mean you should use them to remove your new headphones or Swiss Army knife, as ironic as that is, or whatever else from its overzealous packaging.

Do you see these Damascus-clad blades and D-shaped ebony PakkaWood handles? They are a thing of beauty and they demand respect. So I don’t care if you’re jonesing to break in your new video game controller or desperate for that 16 GB flash drive so you can upload pictures of your butt to your buddy’s desktop and screensaver.

Try some scissors or your teeth or your bare hands for God’s sake, you sissy girly man. Sure, it’ll hurt like a mother if you slice open a finger on the jaggedy plastic edge. But not nearly as much as it will if I unsheathe one of these double-beveled beauties from their bamboo wooden block to find it’s been desecrated for the sake of some gaming mouse.
