At the signing of the treaty, Pork Medallions was restless.
“They said they’d be here!” The succulent meat paced across the marble hall. “Where are they? WHERE?”
“Patience,” counseled Grilled Chicken Breast. “They brought us this far. They wouldn’t leave us behind now.”
Near the window, Salmon Seared With Freshly Ground Black Pepper nodded.
“Pork, you’re too hot-headed. Was it not just weeks ago that the three of us thought we’d never get along?”
“Aye!” agreed Grilled Chicken Breast. “And then we met that three pack of 2010 Gauthier Select Vineyards Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, and we were shown a better way.”
“A way of roses!” said Pork Medallions.
“A way of allspice and smoked cherry!” said the Salmon Seared With Freshly Ground Black Pepper.
“Truly the 2010 Gauthier Select Vineyards Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 3-pack has found common ground between us when we thought none existed!” said the Grilled Chicken Breast.
The Pork Medallions sighed. “But when will they arrive?”
“In time for dinner!” came a laughing voice from the door.
“2010 Gauthier Select Vineyards Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 3-Pack!”
“Indeed, my dear entrees! Fetch the treaties! This war of flavors is at an end!”
And so, indeed, it was. And peace spread through the dinner table.
