Cuisinart 4-Slice Toaster – Black
Thursday, February 14, 2013
Well, well, well. An LED display on a toaster. Guess it’s time we just time we admit it: we’ve now got to take sides about toast.
See, the digital revolution has come to everything else. There are computers in cars, computers in music, computers that we use as typewriters, computers everywhere. The digital world, all around us. And because of that, some people fight back. They listen to vinyl and buy 1960s engines and only use Underwoods and Coronas to type with and wear those weird hats that haven’t been in fashion since before JFK. And, until today, it didn’t matter what kind of toast you gave them.
But here’s a four slice toaster with a touchpad and an LED display, which means SOMEWHERE in here there’s got to be a little computer. And that means we’re divided. Digital toast or analog toast? That’s a question we’ll all have to ask ourselves going forward.
Obviously, we recommend you keep up with the times. But hey, if you want to be stuck in the past, whatever.
