National Geographic Play Environments
Sunday, March 17, 2013
Hey, son! Check out what I got you! A National Geographic castle play environment! Pretty cool present from old dad, huh? Look here on the box: it stands three feet tall, and you can color yourself! That’s right! You can color and play with it however you want! Except, there are a few rules.
One: the grass has to be green. That’s just logic. Grass isn’t orange or blue. That’d be lava or water respectively, and that wouldn’t make sense. A floating castle? A castle surrounded by lava? Those might sound fun, son, but trust me when I say that lava and water are the second and third most dangerous substances known to man. The first is cactus.
Two: the stone walls have to be gray. Because that’s the color that stones are. Gray. Just gray. Sure, there are some stones out there that look like different colors, but they’re not. They’re gray. Remember that time that your pet chameleon got loose and it snuck onto my back and blended in with my shirt and your mom took a picture and posted it to the Facebook and it was a big hit? Rocks that don’t gray are kind of like that.
Three: try not to play with this and the National Geographic T-Rex I got you last week together at the same time. That would be historically inaccurate. With that being said, if you really feel the need, be sure to make up some explanation. Like a time traveler from the future travelled back to prehistoric times and stepped on a leaf and now the whole world is different. Something like that. Except not that exact one. That one’s going to be my explanation for when I play after you go to bed.
Anyway, there you go! Now, put it together and go nuts… within reason.
