Mirage “Not Bad Fizzy Cab” (12)
Saturday, March 23, 2013
Look. I’m not one of those girls looking for Mr. Right. I’m not even looking for Mr. Right Now. I’m looking for Mr. I Guess He’ll Do. Why? Because I’m ready to get this show on the road. Life, I mean. He’s got all his teeth, so I got no complaints.
That’s my take on pretty much everything, including wine. Could I find a Cabernet that isn’t fizzy? Sure. One that hasn’t developed a little spritz due to traces of sugar and yeast left in the wine after bottling? Absolutely. One with luscious cherries that are just a smidge more luscious and blackberries that are a scosch more piquant. I’m sure I could. But I’m not going to bother. Why not? Because this wine is already here, and it clearly states that it’s “not bad.” And that’s good enough for me.
