Aspen Hotel Comforter Set-5 Colors

Spring Break 1999. Aspen. First day on skis. Ever. Unrealistically optimistic I’ll be expertly navigating moguls by lunchtime.

Hour 1. Beginner’s lesson. Harder than anticipated, but I got this. I SO got this.

Hours 2-3. Bunny slope. Nailed it. Ready to move on to bigger and better. Green circle, perhaps? Chair goes up and up and up. Got on wrong lift. Black diamond. Panic ensues.

Hours 4-7. Total meltdown on mountain top. Hyperventilating. Call in ski patrol? Too proud. Ski two feet. Fall. Twist knee in unnatural angle. Cry. Get up. Ski two more feet. Fall. Twist other knee in unnatural angle. Cry some more. Get up. Accidentally ski over other skier’s skis. Sail through air. Fall upside down directly on neck. Might be paralyzed. Not paralyzed. Scoot down rest of hill on butt. Three hours later. It’s finally over. Didn’t die, but think about crawling in hole to do so.

Humiliated. Spend rest of vacation in bed, hiding under oversized comforter and decorative pillows. Admire the soft-to-the-touch microfiber fabric while experiencing aching in muscles I never realized I had.
