Okay, honey. We’re going to Super Fun Thrillworld, and the kids aren’t going to ruin it this year.

I learned to ride a rollercoaster at 3 years old, so there’s no reason Katie can’t do it at 3 months. I’ve been waiting nearly all year to ride the Destructionator, and our kids’ irrational fear is not going to stop me.

Now, just to be clear, I’m not worried about Oscar. He’s 4 now. He’s clearly ready. If he’s not, we won’t give him dessert for a month. Then he’ll be ready.

So that brings us to Katie. Sure, she’s only 3 months old, but that’s why I’ve got this Graco 2-in-1 Swing & Bouncer Duo. The swing offers 6 swing speeds, so we can increase the speed in increments. We’re going to ease her into it, you see.

Once she’s mastered the swing, we’ll be transferring her to the bouncer. I figure at least four hours a day bouncing her up and down will have her ready for any ride.

Now, it’s important that you ignore some of the features that come with this. For example, the 10 soothing classical tunes and nature sounds? Ignore those. The 3-position recline to adjust Katie’s comfort on the swing? Ignore that too. I’m sorry, but it’s the only way she’ll be be prepared.

I know this isn’t exactly what the Graco 2-in-1 Swing & Bouncer was intended for, but I also don’t really care. This is the best idea I’ve got, and one thing I know for sure is that this will not be a repeat of last year’s trip where my entire time at Super Fun Time Theme Park was spent with crying children in the Cotton Candy tent.
