“Are you more of a dog or cat person?”
“Oh, cat, definitely.”
“Really? But dogs are full of so much unconditional love.”
“I guess so, but they just have so much energy. You have to walk them all the time…”
“Yeah…”
“And all that exercise makes their meat really tough, you know?”
“It’s definitely tougher than catmeat, but it’s all about how you prepare it. Have you ever had slow-roasted dog al pastor?”
“I don’t think so.”
“Oh. Em. Gee. It is…it is unbelievable. Throw it on a taco with a little cabbage slaw and cilantro. Mmmmm MMMMMM.”
“Oh yeah, I think I’ve seen that dog taco truck around. What was the name of it again?”
“Rex-Mex.”
“That’s right, now the way to prepare cat is to…”
“…Hold on a second.”
“What’s up?”
“I’m just reading the Shirt.Woot comments while we talk. Seems like people are pretty upset about this writeup.”
“What? Why?? Ohhhhhhhhhh. Because we’re talking about eating pets. Right.”
“It’s surprising, because this shirt design is of a similarly grisly nature. But there seems to be some back-and-forth about the cartoonish nature of the shirt, compared to the matter-of-fact gruesomeness of our dialogue.”
“Fair enough.”
“So let’s just talk about politics or something safe.”
“Good idea. How about all those gay marriage marijuana guns, amiright?”
