NewAir 1 Qt. Ice Cream & Sorbet Machine

All my life, for every single birthday, my mother would buy me a chocolate cake from the grocery store bakery. And then she’d serve up that grocery store chocolate cake with a big scoop (or two) of chocolate ice cream, right on top of the grocery store chocolate cake. The problem with this? I hate chocolate cake and I hate chocolate ice cream.
So every year for my birthday, I would say to my mom, “Mom. I hate chocolate cake. And I hate chocolate ice cream.” And you know what she would say to me? “But everybody else likes it.” And I would say, “But it’s MY birthday!” She would just smile and hand me a plate of that soggy chocolate cake sitting in the half-melted pool of chocolate ice cream. And then the next year we’d do it all over again.
So on the day I turned 18, I bought myself a NewAir 1 Qt. Ice Cream & Sorbet Machine. I poured in the ingredients, turned on the unit and set the timer. 60 minutes later, I had whipped myself up a batch of the creamiest, most delicious strawberry ice cream I had ever tasted. And then I sat at the kitchen table and ate the entire quart while my family members looked on in disturbed disbelief. When I had finished, I placed the spoon inside that self-cooling canister and said, “That was for you, Ma.”
And then I threw up, because apparently I’m violently lactose intolerant.
