How can it be blasphemy if you’re a kitty? From your secret hiding place high in the sky, you’re trying to defeat the Sun King, a golden jerkface looking to take steal all your worshipers. C’mon, you’re a CAT! The alpha predator supreme! A death-hungry mix of teeth the claws and… d’awwww, look at that fuzzy belly! Look at it! Okay, just take some skeleton warriors and get the job done.
Once you get into the rhythm, Cat God vs Sun King is pretty smooth sailing. You throw down fireballs and lightning, level up and get locust storms, and every so often should summon up a sandworm to be extra sure you got all the bad guys.
Just work out some kind of rhythm with your minons because you’ll have to charge up your mana to use them again, and if you drop too low you can only sit quietly until it recharges. If the wait takes too long, and the Sun King’s builders move too fast, well, you’re pretty much doomed.
Don’t cry if you lose, though, because you’ll still keep all your magic. Just try, try again at a lower level and work your way back to where you were. As you get better at the game you’ll win golden scarabs and unlock achievements, and eventually face off against the Sun King himself. Get used to rocking those special attacks to the fullest, because Cat God vs Sun King is your best shot to prove what many of us already know: cats rule. Benevolently.
