Sharon had no idea what the box of gears, claws and eyeballs was for, but Jake and Dakody sure seemed to be happy she’d brought it to them. She didn’t feel she understood why, but she was sure she could figure it out by watching them play.
But it wasn’t as easy as all that. Obviously the two little engineers knew what they were doing, Jake set up the three different sized gears in a rather scientific manner, and then Dakody slapped on some eyeballs and claws as needed. Then they’d plug in the motor and the whole thing would start to turn, and Dakody would yell “Look, Granny Sharon!” and then they’d start in on a second one, sometimes cannibalizing the first. There were 115 pieces and the two boys used them all, at least twice, sending the gears forwards and backwards with the included hand control.
And after two hours, Sharon still had no idea what was going on.
But the boys seemed happy, so that was the important thing. If they enjoyed their three-eyed rotating claw monster, it was okay with Granny Sharon.
