As the gangsters advanced, Tubbs Purebottom had to pretend to be afraid. It wasn’t easy.

Am I a burger or something? Tubbs wanted to say. The kids had acted all tough as they reached into their back pockets, and Tubbs was a little nervous when he saw the folded up handles, but then… a spatula? A fork? A cleaning brush? This was what kids were doing on the streets of Miami?
