Cast Iron (2013) is the story of a twenty-something witch (Jennifer Lawrence) who decides to rebel against her parents by taking a cooking class against their wishes. Her warlock father (Steve Martin) decides to teach his daughter a lesson by buying her a Cuisinart 5.5 Quart Cast Iron Pot that is secretly possessed by a genie (Eddie Murphy) who will keep track of her in her adventures. The father forgets, however, that his wife (Meg Ryan) is half-faerie, and as such, his daughter is vulnerable to any Cast Iron Pot, regardless of if it’s kept on the stove or in the oven!

Now the young witch must rely 100% on her culinary talents, even as she begins to fall in love with her head chef (Shia LeBeouf) who is also the son of Randall James (James Randi) a Salem politician who swears he will never accept a witch into his family, and ESPECIALLY not a depowered one!

Can a twenty-something witch in need of a little magic follow her dreams and win the Massachusetts Regional Chili Cook-Off while still staying true to herself AND what she believes in even as she tries to save the life of a beautiful enchanted husky which could actually be a reincarnation of her millionaire grandfather, a werewolf (Ian McKellen/Joe Cocker)?
