Danielle was still shaken up by her run-in with Craig, so she decided to blow off some steam by picking up some new towels. She was considering the five different style options in the Colonial Towel 6-piece set when an incredibly obnoxious stranger butted in with an unsolicited opinion.

“You aren’t thinking of getting THOSE towels, are you?”

“Yeah, actually. I am,” said Danielle, surprised by the intrusion. “I need new bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths, and this set comes with two of each.”

The stranger clucked disapprovingly. Danielle was NOT in the mood for another altercation, so she just ignored her and went back to shopping.

“You’re part of the problem, you know? You should be ashamed of yourself.”

“EXCUSE me,” said Danielle in disbelief. “What exactly is THAT supposed to mean? WHAT problem?”

“Sure, those towels are 100% cotton. But they’re 100% EGYPTIAN cotton.”

“And?”

“Well, they aren’t 100% AMERICAN cotton, are they now?”

Danielle’s mouth dropped open. She couldn’t believe the idiocy of this woman. “You know, Egyptian cotton is a luxury. It’s soft, durable and superior to other fabrics used to make towels. And just because the cotton grows in Egypt, that doesn’t mean the towels were MADE in Egypt.”

“It doesn’t?” The woman looked unsure of herself.

“No, it doesn’t,” said Danielle smugly.

“So, they were made in America then?”

“Well, you see … that’s not exactly … oh just shut up and mind your own business,” Danielle said as she gathered her machine washable, Egyptian cotton towels that were made in India, and headed for the check-out.
