Flip It Good

It was official. Craig just didn’t understand women. And he probably never would. So maybe he had been following Danielle. And maybe he followed her to a night club the other night. And maybe she just happened to be there with Phil.

Craig sat up in bed and adjusted his 4-Way Flip pillow  from the sleeping position to the relaxed position. He sighed as he fell back into the built-in head rest. For a girl who hates men, Danielle sure danced with a lot of them. But maybe that’s just it. Maybe Danielle doesn’t hate men. “Maybe she just hates me,” he said aloud. 

“Ugh!” he yelled and punched the pillow, pretending it was Phil’s face. A few moments later when he had calmed down, he settled back into the gradual slope of the inclined position.

“That’s exactly what got you into this mess in the first place, Craig,” he said to himself.

“But it just doesn’t make sense,” he thought. “Why is it OK for that jerk to act the way he did, but it’s not OK for me?”

In Craig’s mind, there were only two possible answers to that. Either A. Danielle is still in love with Phil or B. Phil has some terminal illness and Danielle’s just being nice to him because he’s dying.

A smile curled the corners of Craig’s lips as he placed the pillow back in the sleeping position and rested his head on the smaller lobe.

“It’s B. Definitely,” he said aloud before closing his eyes and finally drifting off to sleep.
