Not everyone gets to be Apple.

If a press conference happens in the woods and no one hears it, does it happen?

We’re not sure what happened, but we scheduled a press conference last Wednesday to announce we’d be selling these refurbished Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1” Tablets bundled with an SD Card Reader. We spared no expense, too! We set out a punch bowl, some Dixie cups, and bought those super-over-sweetened sugar cookies from the grocery store that come with like a half inch of frosting on top.

So imagine our surprise when no one showed up because they were busy beating down the door to hear something about some silly tablet thing they’re trying to get off the ground. Ridiculous.

Who wouldn’t be excited about a tablet with a Dual-Core 1GHz processor and Android 3.1 Honeycomb Operating System? Why would people go listen to some speech about an app store or some nonsense when they could hear all about this ultra-lightweight device with access to Media Hub and Social Hub and wirelessly stream movies, music, and photos?

And good luck personalizing that Apple thing, should you fall for the buzz and plunk down the cash. Sure, the Galaxy Tab has a proprietary connector and can’t take microUSB or microSD cards, but you’ve got an SD Card Reader for that stuff! And at least Android devices will let you, y’know, play with ‘em. Stuff’s not all locked down and forbidden.

But no, no one wants to talk about that. They want to talk about clouds and pixels and all the sweet new snowboarding videos they’re planning to shoot with their new Apple device even though they’ve never been snowboarding before. Weirdos.
