Imagine this. Today’s Ten Cent Sundae Sunday. You’re on the way to the local Uncle Butterfat’s Rock-A-Fudgey Explosion. Two blocks away from your favorite shortcut across the covered bridge… oh no! The bridge caught fire when Mrs. McGornigle’s cow kicked over her kitchy gas lantern! Well, no bother, you can just take a different path… if you know of one.
Naturally, if you have a Garmin nuvi 2200 Personal GPS, it’ll be easy. You’ll just type in the address and get a 3.5 inch backlit TFT touchscreen that tells you where to go. A friendly voice will dictate to you, and if you don’t like that voice because it reminds you of your Cousin Lou? Try again! You’ll have plenty of choices. You can even swap out the little vehicle that drives on the map if you so desire.
And if all else fails, hit “Where Am I?” and you’ll get exact co-ordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations and sources of fuel. Like, say, what if you really need some beef jerky on the way to get your ice cream? Find a gas station, you’ve got access to all sorts of snacks. And some magazines. And occasionally a nice plastic funnel.
Of course, without a Garmin nuvi 2200 Personal GPS, you’ll miss out on everything. No Ten Cent Sunday Sundae, no little vehicle on the map, no beef jerky, no magazines, no plastic funnel, and worst of all, you’ll be lost in the dark and devoured by foxes. Is it worth it?
