Head PCT Speed Tennis Racquet

I’ve been playing tennis for the last six months, slowly getting better in miniscule increments. I finally decided to reward myself for my hard work with a new racket, so I picked up this Head PCT Speed Tennis Racquet thinking hey, Head racquets are supposed to be pretty good! Well they might be, but I’d never know. I’ve only gotten worse since I got this thing!

I strapped the thing to my head, thinking the extra long length would give me enough reach to put the oversized head on the ball. I could barely whip the racquet around in time to return a serve when it was in my hand. Now that it’s taped to my head I don’t have a chance in hell! Not to mention this particular variation of playing style doesn’t seem especially popular in my neck of the woods.

I’ve seen literally no one else playing this way, and I get more quizzical looks and concerned questions from strangers than I’d like. I can’t get anyone to even accept my challenges in the ladder tourney. Even when people do occasionally play with me, they spend the whole time trying to cheer me on with a weird, over-enthusiastic tone. Like they’re just impressed that I found my way to the court without wandering off into the woods and dying of exposure. I don’t need sarcasm, man. I just want to play tennis!
