Microcotton’s great, especially the microcotton in the HomeSource Microcotton Towel Set. It’s incredibly soft, absorbs really well, and dries faster than most towels, but sometimes, sometimes, I just wish it wasn’t so dang cocky.

Sometimes I feel like its main goal is to make my other towels feel inferior, towels that have long held a place in my house. Yeah, okay, I get it: you were rated the best cotton towel by Real Simple magazine, but that doesn’t mean that towel you see hanging up on the rack over there hasn’t also dried my body a few a times in its day.

And the lack of lint! I get it already! You don’t shed. Get over yourself. Maybe I like the shedding of my fuzzy pink towel in the bathroom. Maybe I like finding bits of its cloth sitting around my house. It reminds me it’s there and that it cares.

With all that said, it really is an amazing fabric. Just don’t remind it that it’s considered “one of the highest quality cottons in the world.” Seriously, you won’t hear the end of it.
