Tim and Michelle stood in the hot driveway and stared at the car, “How long?” she asked him. “How long has it been in there?”

Tim wiped the sweat from his face and gave a reluctant shrug. “Four hours,” he answered. “I think. Maybe five.” Then he winced as he heard Michelle’s palm smack against her forehead.

“You know, I was hoping to take that Itzy Ritzy Medium Wet Bag on vacation with us. When Amanda told me about it, I thought it would be such a great way to store our wet clothes after we all went to the beach.”

“Yeah.”

“I guess not, no.”

Michelle watched as her husband’s head sank lower. She slipped her arms around him and gave him a squeeze. “You know, I think we still have that gas mask your buddies gave you as a joke before Olivia was born. Why don’t you go look for that while I search the house for any spare air fresheners?”
