You know the kind — it’s not at all how people actually talk to each other, but some kind of idea about how people talk to each other, based on old sitcoms or something?”
“I think I know what you’re talking about. But forget about all that: It’s our special day!”
“RIGHT THERE! Nobody talks like that. Shhhhhh! Come close.
“What are you talking about? This is real life, and I made you eggplant parm with our Kuhn Rikon Cutting Board set!”
