The professor held a press conference to announce that he’d found a cure for the night.
“It’s a Water Resistant 100 Lumen High-End Power LED with a Patented Advanced Focus System,” he said, turning it on in front of the crowd.
“But professor, we already have lights,” quipped the unimpressed newspaper reporter from the first row.
“Yes, but this one can go outside!” the professor exclaimed. At this, the crowd oohed and ahhed.
“What about side effects?” the doctor called out from the back of the room. “If I am to prescribe this to patients suffering from the night, I must know if it is at all dangerous.”
“Oh, very much so,” said the professor. “Test subjects have told me that when they turn it off, the night seems darker than before.”
The crowd grumbled in fear, but all in attendance agreed, it was worth the risk.
