Yes, Mr. Ebert, we know you think games can’t be art. But let us counter: figuring out a painting never unlocked a special new level with a jet pack in it! Check and mate, we believe.
And that’s what the artist faces these days. You can’t read a novel until it’s been mentioned on TV. You can’t sell a painting until you’ve had a turn on a reality show. If it’s not connected to or inspired by something you’ve seen in HD, it. Just. Doesn’t. Exist.
And from this springs the question: why waste money on other stuff? Collecting fine art’s just luck of the draw, really, being in the right place at the right time to buy low and sell high. And most novels, not all, but most… well, by this point they’re just screenplays-to-be, right? So save all that wasted space on “culture” and get right to the LG 60″ 1080p 600Hz Plasma HDTV!
It can handle HDMI devices and give you a bright 1080p screen you can use for pretty much anything visual- even those old movies that somehow count as “Art” despite their inability to allow you to actually control the main character for some reason -and there’s even a remote!
