Brant knew it wasn’t THAT much to pay the pet deposit. But there was just something exciting about living outside the law. He hadn’t told Lesley that their new puppy (still unnamed) was a rogue terrier. She wouldn’t have allowed that sort of risk. That could have been why Brant wanted to push it as long as he could.
To be fair, the LG PetCare Canister Vac was a pretty good deal. It wasn’t too big, and it was designed to pick up dirt and dust and fur from both sides. The little puppy might have been small, but it was still leaving important evidence all over the house.
Because of the Kompressor system in the bagless bin, Brant was able to keep his LG PetCare Canister Vac looking… well, not full of pet hair. That made it easier to hide from Nestoras, who seemed to be finding regular excuses to visit while Brant was at home. Thankfully, Lesley was always out at her art class and so Brant never had to explain why he had to hide the puppy under the blankets and start the vacuum to cover its whines. It was also pretty helpful that Sylvia lived next door, so Nestoras was always keeping one eye on her door, just in case she would appear.
Right now, the puppy was wagging underneath the table. Brant ran the 2-in-1 crevice tool through the edges of the couch, just to be sure. Likely Nestoras wasn’t ever going to sit down, but it wouldn’t do to take chances. After all, part of the thrill was seeing just what it was possible to get away with. And if he could pull it off, this dog might go unreported for a few more weeks.
