Todd knew he was making a mistake when he grabbed the bag off the table. He told himself it was a loan, a temporary loan without permission that might not have been given if he asked for it. And besides, hadn’t Michelle always raided his piggy bank when they were kids? At least once, if Todd’s memory was correct. And to a kid, a few quarters was easily the same as a few hundred dollars. So what he was doing, it was only fair.

And taking money from family, that was HARDLY stealing. Todd knew Tim and Michelle weren’t exactly hurting for income. Probably they’d think they just misplaced the money, or maybe blame one of the kids. Heck, maybe he was SAVING the kids! With no money in the bag, they couldn’t steal it themselves! No temptation, no crime! And anyway, he’d find a way to give it back before too long. Maybe even later this week if he beat the spread.

Michelle and the kids were outside so they wouldn’t see anything. Todd grabbed a glass just in case, so if he was caught, he could say he was just getting a drink. It was stupid plan but at least it was something. With his eyes on the family, he reached into the bag, and found… oh.

In her hurry to get out and watch the kids, Michelle had left the Lillebaby Oslo Diaper Bag sitting on the table where she usually left her purse. To her, it was no big deal. And Todd wasn’t going to press his luck by asking her where Michelle had left her purse.

That night, Todd sat next to Jake and watched the game.

“Uncle Todd, wow! That’s exactly the score you said they’d have! How did you know?”

Todd shrugged.

“It’s a curse, Jake. Just a curse.”

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Tip: always keep wipes tucked in under plastic flap on wet-wipes dispenser when not in use to retain moisture.
Diaper bag care: Spot clean with damp cloth. Hand wash cold “in case of emergency.”
Changing pad: Spot clean with damp cloth, machine wash if needed. Machine wash changing pad liner, cold wash preferred.
