NERF Vortex Nitron

In the dark, Jake shined the Nerf Vortex Nitron across the room. The electronic scope drew a circle on the wall as he prepared the Nerf discs. Soon, he’d prove that light switches could be turned on in a different way.
The pulsing lights of his Vortex Nitron reflected in the dark. Jake launched a warm-up disc at the dresser drawer: perfect. He launched a second, perfect again. He could hear a little woosh as each disk went flying and a tap as it hit the drawer handle.
Jake rolled over and lined up with the light switch on the wall. The beam said he was centered.

Jake muttered in frustration and tried again.

Still darkness.
Jake sighed, and gave up. He walked across the room to flip the switch by hand. The world of today clearly just wasn’t ready for a super-cool light switch device. But he wasn’t giving up. One day, he’d solve this puzzle. One day, he wouldn’t have to get up to turn on the light.
