We’re no stranger to iStuff, or sound systems for iPods, iPhones, and iPads in general. Eventually they all kind of blur together into one big congealed ball of iGoo. But once in awhile a product comes along with such a crazy premise or weird name that we sit up and take notice, if only for the fact that it’s the one distinctive thing about the product we can latch on to for the sake of a writeup. Today, that distinctive thing is “iOnly.”
It’s got 4-inch woofers, it’s got auxiliary input, it doubles as an alarm clock, yada yada yada. You’ve seen it all before. But who decided to name it the Onkyo iOnly BASS Dock Music System? Is “iOnly Bass” a pun we’re not understanding? Most of these tend to have really on-the-nose names like iHear or iPlayMusic or whatever. But iOnly? You only what?
They can’t all be winners, folks.
