Awesome prank idea: you take on of these OOMA Telo VoIP Home Phone Systems and a time machine, and you travel back in time to, like, the ’70s. You show people the Ooma and say, “This is what phones become in the future.”

You can explain how it plugs into your high-speed internet, or how you don’t have to pay for any calls in the US (just the tax), or how you can ring any OOMA user in the WHOLE WORLD free of charge, but it won’t matter. They’ll just be wowed by how shiny the thing is!

Then, fast forward a few decades and check out the looks on people’s faces when they realize the OOMA isn’t the next big thing! Like, seriously, they’ll look mildly upset! That is if they even remember your visit at all!
