When Uncle Ted told us that he was gonna paint his wall a movie, we said, “Sure, Ted. Just like you were gonna turn your hatchback into a hot air balloon.” And then he got all weird and said he was three stitches and a proper burner away from turning that into a reality, and we said, yeah, whatever and he left our house frowning, like he always did.
Well, we didn’t see him for a while, but then we needed to borrow some nails, so we went over to his house, and what we saw when we got there blew our minds. He’d done it! Not turned his hatchback into a hot air balloon but painted his wall a movie. It was From Justin to Kelly, but he said if we just gave him a little time he could repaint it any movie we could imagine, as long as we imagined a movie they sell in the bin at the supermarket.
When we asked him how he did it, he just smiled and said, “Optoma.” We didn’t know what that means, but we think of that word often, especially considering Uncle Ted’s disappearance and all.
