SafeFlare Emergency Light 2-Pack
Thursday, February 7, 2013
“I came as soon as I saw the flare! Are you OK?”
No. No I am not OK.
“What’s wrong? Are you hurt?”
We’re out of coffee.
“Arnie, we discussed this. Coffee is not an emergency that requires the use of a 360-degree flashing strobe light.”
Says you. I’m having caffeine withdrawals.
“Why didn’t you just call like a normal person?”
Because I don’t want to use up my minutes. And these things will run for 200 hours on just two AAA batteries.
“:::Sigh::: OK, let’s go over this again, shall we? Things that necessitate the use of a flare: Stranded on a desert island. Lost in a cave. Pinned beneath an upturned vehicle. Things that do not necessitate the use of a light that is visible for more than 2 miles on the ground or 10 miles from the air: Running out of coffee. One-ply toilet paper. A spider crawling across the ceiling.”
To be fair, it was a really big spider.
