Television Shopping is tough. There are all sorts of specs and measurements and stuff to keep track of. That’s why we decided it’s time to put together some instructions on how to buy one. Take a look!
Today’s lesson: The ” Mark
When shopping for a television, you want to make sure the ” is in the right place. For example, look at this Samsung LCD 1080p television with Wide Color Enhancer and ConnectShare Movie. The ” comes after 46, meaning the screen is 46 inches from corner to corner. That is the right place for the ” mark.
The wrong place would be proceeding and following the word “television” (like such). That implies that it is not undeniably a television, but something that you could call a television even though it doesn’t necessarily do television stuff. For example, a “television” could be a mirror or a window or a sculpture of a television. That’s the problem, there is no way of knowing exactly what a “television” is until you get it home and take it out of the box.
So, to recap: after a number, ” is good. Around a word, ” is bad.
