No, no, you say whatever it takes to impress your friends. After all, this is a pack of two different wines, and the 2008 Zinfandel, Paso Robles DID win a freakin’ Gold Medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. So you’re not wrong to call all six of these bottles classy.
But we’re not James Bond every day, you know? And on those nights when you settle in with a horror movie and a pizza, you’re still gonna need a wine. That’s when you can turn to the 2007 Grenache, Paso Robles, with a warm spicy nose and a dense, lingering raspberry, plum, and dark cherry flavor. Yes, it’s quality wine that pairs with quality meats (like the kind you might serve at your next fancy party!) but darn tootin’ it’ll handle pizza night with ease. Because this Grenache is good, but it’s sure not pretentious.
So here’s our advice: save the Zin. Watch it age over the next three years. Take it out when you want to show off your amazing taste in wine. But when it’s just you and some pals gooin’ off? That’s when you’ll be thankful for the Grenache! A wine that’s good enough for fancy… but not TOO good to just hang out.

Harvest from Vineyards in Paso Robles AVA. Then fermented using gentle pump over techniques called “remontage” for a period of 20 days. After the completion of fermentation the wine was aged for eleven months in a blend of French and American Oak.

This wine was made from Grenache grown in the Paso Robles AVA. Grown under the warm sun of the east side of the Highway 101, in a region that is known for high day time temperatures and mild evenings. This warm weather is considered ideal for the Grenache grape to ripen to full maturity and express its full flavor potential. At harvest the grapes were brought to the winery, fermented in temperature controlled vats and pumped over daily. This allows for complete extraction of color, flavor and alcohol development. The wine is aged for 12 months in French and American oak. After insuring there was good flavor development and the tannins had softened, the wine was then bottled.
