Look, we’re human, okay? Sometimes we run out ideas. That’s why, from time-to-time, we’ll farm out the product writeup to an MFA student. Hey, if it worked for James Frey, it can work for us, right? So, today’s writeup for this Swann FreeStyle 1080p Action Cam comes from Tam McKemmis, who’s currently working on an MFA in fiction from SUNY Duluth:
She had arms like wild snakes and eyes like a frightened cat and when she told me her name, Juanita, her voice like a whisper like a wind so soft it was like an exhalation of an angel.
Of course, I was shell-shocked and hardened from the war, like a pile of bricks that couldn’t put its past behind it. I drank beer like I was a machine designed with only that purpose, and in some ways I was, except my inventor was not a scientist or an engineer, but the dark cloud of combat that haunted my every dream like a ghost.
She said, “I’m new in town. What’s there to do?” and I said, “You’re looking at it.”
She made a face like a frown like a statue of the very saint of sadness, and she said that she was looking for a partner to do things of the outdoorsy variety with, such as biking and kayaking, which she often did with a Swann FreeStyle 1080p Action Cam mounted to her helmet so that she could record such adventures.
I told her, “The only outdoors I ever known were those where the war took place, and those outdoors took me into their jaws and chewed me into a mess of anger and trouble, so I’m sorry, but I think I’ll wait for the video.”
