“Honey. Don’t you think it’s a little early to be thinking about potty training for the baby? She can’t even walk yet.”

Oh, this 3-in-1 potty system isn’t for her.

“Um. Okay. Well then, while I appreciate the gesture, I’m a little too grown up for Lightning McQueen.”

I know that, dear.

“And I don’t need a pretend-flush handle that plays sounds to remind me to flush for real.”

Could have fooled me.

“Very funny. But seriously, a step stool? I can reach the medicine cabinet just fine.”

Dear, the potty system isn’t for you either.

“Well then who is it for?”

The cat. I’m going to use the trainer seat to potty train him so we don’t have to use a litter box.

“Oh, OK. I guess that makes sense. Wait. What cat? We don’t have a cat!”

We do now! Taaa daaa! Meet Mr. Cuddlesworth! I found him scratching on the back door this morning.

“Don’t think we should talk about this?”

What’s there to talk about? He was cold and hungry and looking for a good home. The least we can do is provide him with a soft-cushioned potty for comfort.

“That’s the LEAST we can do?”

Oh you know what I mean!

“Fine. We have a cat. We’re cat people now.”

Yay!

“But, did they have any other potty seats at the store?”

Yeah, they had a Disney Princess one, too.

“Perfect. I’ll pick up a few more of those tomorrow.”

Why?

“Because … Mr. Cuddlesworth is neither a mister nor simply cuddly and fat. He’s a she, and she is very pregnant. We’re about to have a bath tub full of kittens.”
