So, I hear this is a pretty solid GPS, that it can calculate the fastest route possible, that it comes pre-loaded with 7 million points of interest in over 60 categories, that it can even help you choose the right lane or find emergency services, all that stuff. But here’s my question: can it give opposite directions?

Little bit of background: I’m thinking of getting this TomTom for my 17 year old son, but he’s kind of rebellious. Well, not kind of. More like really, really rebellious. Like, doesn’t-listen-to-anyone-over-30 rebellious. So, I’m worried that if the GPS’s adult voice says “take a left” he’ll be like, “Screw you, GPS! You don’t own me!” and then take a right.

So is there any way I could, you know, turn the directions backwards? Like, when he needs to take a left, the GPS says, “Take a right.” Or “Take a right, punk.” Or, “Conform to my authority and take a right.” Or “Your father thinks it’d be best if you took a right.” That last one would probably be the most effective.

Basically, I just want my son to get where he needs to go, safely. Follow up question: is there anyway, I could program the TomTom to say, “Join a band and don’t go to business school”?
