I’m sorry, Keyboard Bunny, but I’m afraid I’m going to have to let you go.

Aw, don’t look at me with those dark, buttony eyes like that. You’ve done a fine job protecting my desk for a long time now. Don’t think I don’t appreciate that. But the company is updating its computers and trading out all the desktops with Toshiba Quad-Core Laptops. I won’t be working in the office as much as I used to and, well, keeping you on just doesn’t make any sense.

Yes, I’m aware that you’re also light and portable. I’m sure you’d be a swell companion while watching a Blu-ray disc on the 17.3” HD+ TruBrite LED backlit display on lunch breaks, too. But with the built-in webcam and microphone, I’ll be making doing a lot more video conferencing, and you just can’t attend some of those meetings. The company has explicit rules about fuzzy bunnies involved in official business. You understand, right?
