Vines on the Marycrest ‘Round Midnight
Tuesday, July 3, 2012
Oh. Never mind. It’s just a Vines on the Marycrest 2007 ‘Round Midnight Red 4-Pack. I mean, that’s good, too. It’s a great wine with a spicy finish. It’s got pretty strong roots in Syrah, and you’ll definitely notice them.
It’s just, well, I heard “Red” and “Vines” and thought maybe, finally, someone had come up with a Red Vines wine.
Don’t scoff! It’s totally possible, and some day it’s going to happen! I can feel it, deep in my bones. It’s too tantalizing a prospect to ignore. Sure right now humanity is busy pursuing other conquests like mining asteroids and killing the planet on which we live, but someday someone smarter than me is going to get around to making a wine that tastes of delicious red licorice.
And then we’ll finally have peaked as a species.
