The golden age of Dutch art, which lasted much of the 17th century, marked a historical transition into ultra-realism. By combining stunning depictions of light with superior technicality, Dutch painters such as Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Vermeer revolutionized the way artists represented life on canvas.
Of course, now we can throw all those moldy old paintings in the trash because of the vivid picture on this VIZIO 39″ 1080p LED HDTV.
Sure, Rembrandt’s self-portraits manipulate deep, dark shadows to evoke an emotional response. But his quaint little oil paintings can’t compete with the dazzling contrasts this Vizio can pump out. Why look at some cracked painting of an old dude when you can watch Bob Schieffer in stunning HD?
“But Vermeer portrayed scenes of lower-middle class life in vivid color,” you say. Well, guess what? So do “2 Broke Girls,” and “Mike and Molly,” and they don’t cost $ 30 million an episode, mmk?
Now that we think about it, the entire history of art is now pretty much moot, thanks to this TV. Visual art was a nice little experiment, but now we’ve got 1080p.
